At The Social Sports Society you will be working towards a Community Activator Coach L2 Apprenticeship Qualification over the course of 15 Months.
As a team member, you will help deliver quality Padel tuition, guided by our Coaching & Management team.
You will activate sessions for beginners, run club sessions and assist in running open days & competitions.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Coaching and Activation
● Assist and coach Padel and physical activities
● Ensure efficient and effective operation of sessions, including equipment set-up and take-down.
● shadow (initially) others on activator sessions and building up to leading sessions on daily basis
● Undertake basic club maintenance.
● Undertake sessions according to the programme, ensuring classes run effectively to the timetable.
● Maintain the equipment and facilities to the highest possible standards, reporting faults or repairs to the relevant colleague.
Customer Service
● Build and maintain excellent relationships with our customers and potential customers.
● Ensure excellent customers’ venue experience – from welcome to departure (particularly giving help they require and trying to anticipate needs)
● Manage customer behaviour proactively during the use of facilities to ensure highest possible levels of safety and enjoyment.
● Work alongside the Food & Beverage team to serve members.
Desired Skills
We aren’t looking for previous coaching qualifications or experience. However, certain personal qualities and characteristics are a must: • Excellent time management • Strong interpersonal skills • Fluent in written and spoken English. • Strong Communication skills (i.e. listening actively to and giving information through different communication channels.) Successful applicants will be assisting and delivering sport and physical activity sessions in the community. Therefore: • You will need to be reliable, enthusiastic, energetic, and committed!

● Be enthusiastic about working in the physical activity sector and be committed to bringing people together to create positive community impact.
● Be positive, energetic and enjoy working at part of team.
● Have a desire to provide amazing customer service and we’ll will support you in any way need to reach the standard we are looking for.
● Have strong hunger to learn, work hard and challenge yourself essential. (No prior coaching experience is required)
Qualifications required
Missed out on getting your Maths and English GCSEs? Don’t worry- you can still apply but you will need to complete Functional Skills Level 2 before you finish the apprenticeship.
