We’re looking for an enthusiastic Chef Apprentice who is eager to learn, grow & build a career within hospitality. We’re keen to find individuals who we can help train in the hope of developing a long career with us for the future. This is a hands-on opportunity to work alongside experienced chefs, develop professional cooking skills and gain real experience in a fast-paced restaurant.
What You’ll Be Doing
Assisting chefs with food preparation and basic cooking tasks
● Learning how to prepare and cook dishes to our kitchen standards
● Helping with ingredient preparation (chopping, measuring, portioning)
● Maintaining high standards of kitchen cleanliness and organisation
● Supporting the team during busy service periods
● Learning about food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations
● Taking part in training and apprenticeship learning activities

What your apprenticeship includes
● A mixture of face to face and skype/phone catch ups every 4 - 6 weeks to discuss feedback and progress
● A mixture of on and off the job training, including workshops and webinars
● Reviews every 12 weeks with your Line Manager and apprenticeship Trainer
● The chance to get Functional Skills in English and maths (if you don’t already have GCSE)
● A Senior Production Chef Qualification once you have completed the 15 month programme
At Vaulkhard Group, as a Chef Apprentice, you will be working towards the Production Chef Level 2 apprenticeship, over the duration of 18months, alongside your daily roles and responsibilities.

Qualifications required
