Working within our warehouse team as an Apprentice, you will learn the full day-to-day warehouse process while being trained and supported day to day by our Warehouse Supervisor.
Duties include:
- Locating and moving stock
- Picking and packing customer orders
- Checking quality, preparing parcels for dispatch
- Receiving and checking incoming deliveries
- Putting stock into the correct locations
- Assisting with stock counts
- Maintaining clean and organised work areas
- Learning our product preparation and packing processes
£8.00 starting rate; planned reviews at 8 weeks (£9.00) and 16 weeks (£10.00), subject to satisfactory performance, attendance, timekeeping and Apprenticeship progress.
What your apprenticeship includes:
- You won’t need to attend college, our apprenticeships are delivered through work based training which includes a mixture of face-to-face sessions and remote Team calls with your Lifetime Learner Coach every 6 weeks. You will also have a mentor within the workplace to support you.
- Reviews every 12 weeks with the Apprentice, Line Manager and Lifetime Learner Coach including feedback sessions.
At AVATA LIMITED you will be working towards a Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship standard over the course of 15 months.
Desired Skills
No previous warehouse experience is essential. Able to follow instructions, work accurately and safely, organise tasks, communicate clearly, work as part of a small team and maintain good attention to detail. Basic numeracy and confidence using simple workplace systems are helpful.
Personal qualities
Reliable, punctual, practical, willing to learn, conscientious and organised. Good attention to detail, positive attitude, comfortable taking feedback and able to work steadily as part of a small warehouse team.
Qualifications required
No specific previous qualifications required. English and maths requirements to be confirmed by Lifetime Training.
Future prospects
We aim to develop and promote from within where possible. The successful apprentice will have the opportunity to become a fully trained, independent warehouse operative, with broader responsibility and further development opportunities as the business grows.
