As a Bar and Waiting Apprentice with Hungry Horse, you'll be the face of our company, making sure that every guest leaves with a smile on their face and a full belly. Whether it’s greeting customers with a warm welcome or remembering that favourite spot they like to sit in, you know how to make them feel special.

Amazing food, live sport, sun-drenched beer gardens and play areas for the kids: just a few things that make our Hungry Horse pubs so special. And with over 200 locations across the country, we’ve got sizzling steaks, to Sunday roasts and the perfect line-up of drinks to match. We know that coming to a pub’s a treat. As a Bar and Waiting Apprentice, you will…

Provide customers with a heartfelt and memorable experience each and every time they visit.
Be the insider behind the bar, offering recommendations to customers.
Prepare and present drinks that meet specifications and customer expectations.
Assist in greeting, serving food and looking after our customers whilst they dine with us.
Make sure the bar is always safe, legal, and clean, and any issues are dealt with as quickly and safely as possible.

What your apprenticeship includes:

You won’t need to attend college; our apprenticeships are delivered through work-based training which includes a mixture of face-to-face sessions and remote Team calls with your Lifetime Learner Coach every 6 weeks. You will also have a mentor within the workplace to support you.
Obtain Functional Skills in English and Maths, with support tailored to your needs (if you don’t already have GCSE or equivalents)
Reviews every 12 weeks with the Apprentice, Line Manager and Lifetime Learner Coach including feedback sessions.
