Bradford City FC Community Foundation
As an Apprentice Community Coach, you'll play an important role in delivering inspiring sport and physical activity opportunities across Bradford. Working alongside experienced coaches, you'll support programmes in schools, community venues, holiday camps and football projects, helping people of all ages become more active, confident and connected.

Throughout the apprenticeship you'll develop your coaching skills, learn how to plan and deliver engaging sessions, understand how to adapt activities for different ages and abilities, and build the confidence to lead sessions independently.

Core Responsibilities:

Session Delivery
Support senior coaches in delivering high-quality sessions.
Progress towards independently leading sessions.
Deliver engaging, inclusive and participant-centred activities.
Adapt activities to meet differing participant needs.
Planning & Administration
Assist with session planning and evaluation.
Complete registers, consent forms and monitoring data.
Maintain accurate records using Salesforce.
Professional Standards
Follow safeguarding, health and safety and Foundation policies.
Care for equipment and facilities.
Represent the Foundation professionally.
Contribute positively to the wider team.

This apprenticeship is part-funded and supported by Coach Core's charitable programme, creating employment opportunities for 16–24-year-olds who have faced barriers to education, employment or career progression. We support young people with the potential to succeed who may have experienced financial disadvantage, additional learning needs, caring responsibilities or other personal or socio-economic challenges. No previous experience is required – we're looking for enthusiasm, potential and a willingness to learn. Coach Core provides additional support throughout the apprenticeship, while the employer is responsible for the final recruitment decision.

Sport-specific Level 2 coaching qualification (e.g. football, cricket, basketball etc)
Experience supporting children with SEND and adapting session delivery to suit their additional needs

Future prospects

Option to extend contact dependant on funding
Several of our management team initially began their journey at the foundation as an apprentice.
