Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Receiving, moving, unloading, unpacking, and checking both boxed and palletised deliveries.
- Safely storing stock in the correct warehouse locations and ensuring all associated documentation is completed accurately.
- Picking, packing, and preparing customer orders to a high standard, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Processing returned goods in line with company procedures.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment, following all health and safety guidelines.
- Monitoring and reporting stock levels to help maintain efficient stock control.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of warehouse operations while developing your knowledge and skills.
- Some heavy lifting will be involved within this role.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of a busy warehouse while working towards a nationally recognised qualification. As a Warehouse Apprentice, you'll develop valuable industry skills and play an important role in ensuring goods are received, stored, and dispatched efficiently. No two days are the same, making this a varied and rewarding role with plenty of opportunities to learn and grow.

This role is based within a secure warehouse supporting customers in the defence, public safety and government sectors. Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be over 18 as you may handle controlled or sensitive equipment and materials. All work must be carried out in line with strict security, confidentiality and compliance procedures. Successful applicants will be required to undergo pre-employment screening or security checks where applicable.

- Daily use of company ERP and WMS systems to record all activities and processes.

Due to the nature of this role a Clean drivers licence is required.

What your apprenticeship includes:

- You won’t need to attend college, our apprenticeships are delivered through work based training which includes a mixture of face-to-face sessions and remote Team calls with your Lifetime Learner Coach every 6 weeks. You will also have a mentor within the workplace to support you.
- Reviews every 12 weeks with the Apprentice, Line Manager and Lifetime Learner Coach including feedback sessions.

At Vikings Arms you will be working towards a Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship standard over the course of 15 months.

Desired Skills

• Ability to work with high levels of accuracy & meticulous attention to detail • Strong numeracy skills • IT proficiency including MS Office Suite, preferred

Qualifications required

Maths and English GCSE or equivalent.

Future prospects

For the successful candidate, there would be opportunity during the apprenticeship to identify skill which would enable progression to a permanent role either within the warehouse or other areas of the business.
