As a Sports Coach Apprentice, you will support the delivery of high-quality PE lessons, sports coaching sessions, and physical activity programmes for children aged 2–12 across schools, nurseries, camps, and community venues. Working alongside experienced coaches, you will help create engaging, inclusive, and enjoyable sessions that encourage children to develop confidence, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles through sport and physical activity.
Your day-to-day duties will include assisting with PE lessons in primary schools, supporting nursery activity sessions, helping to run after-school clubs, and delivering football and multi-sports coaching sessions. You will also help prepare equipment, organise activities, manage behaviour positively, and ensure all sessions are delivered safely and in line with safeguarding procedures.
This role involves travelling between venues and working closely with school staff, parents, and coaching colleagues to maintain high standards of delivery and provide a positive experience for all participants. Full training, mentoring, and ongoing support will be provided by experienced coaches, offering an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience and recognised coaching qualifications within a growing sports coaching organisation.
