The Aviation Security (AvSec) Group plays a vital role in ensuring that all participants in the UK aviation industry are kept safe and secure. This is aided by the Aviation Security Compliance (ASC) Team and their oversight of airports, airlines, and other aviation partners to ensure their compliance with globally established aviation security regulation. The group’s responsibilities include conducting security observations, inspections, audits, and tests which enables the Secretary of State for Transport to meet their legal obligations.
The role of the Compliance Support Administrator is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to start their career in aviation.
This role is essential to ensuring that ASC works efficiently, has a degree of resilience, and delivers in line with the business’s strategic objectives. More specifically, this position is part of the ASC’s Business Support Team, it’s focus is on administrative tasks but also strategic improvement activity.
As the Compliance Support Administrator, you will track and support the progress of departmental projects, and day to day programmes. To this end we will actively encourage you to use your own initiative and suggest improvements that will help us be more efficient and better able to meet our legislative requirements. Accountabilities include:
● Oversee and action work requests and emails received from internal and external contacts.
● Manage industry contacts ensuring all details held on file and in company databases are current, changes are processed expediently, and contact details are reviewed and updated on a periodical basis.
● Review and update company databases with contact information. Ensure that external stakeholders are able to receive correspondence from the CAA in a secure and timely fashion.
● Provide day to day administrative support to various ASC functions.
● Act as the Secretariat for the Aviation Compliance Management Group meetings and produce minutes and action log.
● Support to the Cargo Regulated Agents, Known Consignors and in- flight supplies administrative function.
● Maintain website and database requirements and changes
Quality Assurance
● Support the Compliance Assurance Manager with the development and maintenance of the Compliance Quality Management System and Assurance Objectives.
● Assist with the development and communication of processes and procedures.

As Compliance Support Administrator Apprentice, you will be working towards your Business Administration L3 qualification over the duration of around 15 months.
Desired Skills
• Excellent planning, tracking, and organising abilities. • A good understanding of data protection principles • Experience of working in a regulatory and/ or compliance-based environment would be an asset • Good working knowledge of standard IT packages (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and the ability to learn and utilize bespoke systems for the post concerned. • Knowledge and understanding of the implementation of management systems with experience implementing policies and procedures would be an asset. • Good record keeping skills, the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
