Kickstart your coaching career by helping deliver fun, inclusive cricket sessions in schools and communities—gain qualifications, learn from experienced coaches, and inspire players of all ages and abilities.

The Apprentice Coach will support the planning and delivery of cricket sessions across schools, clubs, and community programmes.

Working alongside experienced staff, you will help deliver engaging activities, set up equipment, and ensure a safe, inclusive environment. You will contribute to programmes such as Chance to Shine Schools, while completing a structured coaching pathway. You will gain hands-on experience, mentoring, and develop key coaching, communication, and organisational skills.

The role involves travelling to multiple venues, supporting events, and helping grow participation. Due to the requirement to travel to different venues across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, a Full Driving Licence is essential for this role.

To succeed as a Community Activator Coach Apprentice at Leicestershire and Rutland Cricket Foundation you will be:

- Patient, empathetic and have the ability to build rapport with children of different ages and abilities.
- Willing to learn, take initiative, and adapt activities to suit different ages and abilities.

Qualifications required

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above preferred)
