We are a growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) supporting both home users and small businesses with their IT hardware, software, and security needs.
We are looking for a Support Engineer, to be the first point of contact for our customers, providing technical support across desktops, laptops, networking, printers, cloud services, and security solutions.

You will handle a mix of home and business clients, resolving issues efficiently and delivering an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
Provide first and second-line technical support (remote, telephone, and on-site) for PCs, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and networking equipment.
Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for Windows, Microsoft 365, and common business applications.
Support and maintain security tools (antivirus, patch management, MFA, endpoint protection, firewalls).
Assist with setup, deployment, and maintenance of customer hardware (new PCs/laptops, routers, printers).
Provide user guidance and training where needed, explaining technical solutions in plain language.
Escalate complex issues to senior engineers or vendors when required.
Maintain accurate documentation of tickets, fixes, and customer configurations.
Contribute to continuous improvement of internal processes and customer experience.

Desired Skills

• Previous IT support experience (MSP or helpdesk background desirable). • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and basic networking (routers, Wi-Fi, cabling). • Understanding of IT security principles (password policies, MFA, antivirus, phishing awareness). • Ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical customers. • Good problem-solving skills with a proactive, can-do attitude.

Comfortable working independently or as part of a small team.

Qualifications required

A GCSE grade C/4 (or equivalent) or above in Maths and English and a relevant IT qualification is desired.

Training to be delivered

Information Communications Technician (IT Support) Apprenticeship Level 3
Functional skills in Maths and English Level 2 if required
