We're offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our IT Department in Chorley as an IT Support Apprentice. As part of our busy IT support function, you will be responding to IT incidents both remotely and in-person, managing hardware updates and running back-ups. The role offers great variety in daily activities and you will be fully supported by senior staff.

Roles and responsibilities but not limited to;

IT Support:

· Logging and processing support calls and tickets.
· Diagnosing and resolving password problems and basic user issues.
· Using ScreenConnect to provide remote assistance to users.
· Talking to staff to determine the nature of problems they encounter.
· Escalating complex issues to senior team members when required.
· Investigating and troubleshooting computer software and hardware faults.

IT Environment Management:

· Supporting Microsoft Intune and Autopilot device management.
· Assisting with Dell laptop configurations and deployments.
· iPhone management and mobile device troubleshooting through MobileIron.
· Managing Single Sign-On (SSO) user access and basic account issues.
· Supporting software licence management.

IT Equipment & Inventory:

· Managing stocks of equipment, consumables and other supplies.
· Assisting with cost effective procurement of computer hardware and peripherals.
· Setting up equipment for new staff members.
· Basic repair and maintenance of IT equipment.
· Maintaining accurate asset records.

Desired Skills

You should be able to demonstrate a natural leaning towards technology as your chosen career pathway. This could be as an IT hobbyist building custom PCs or running a home server and virtual machines. It could that you are IT support for family and friends.

Qualifications required

Grade 4/C in English and Math and a related IT qualification

Future prospects

Potential for a full-time role upon completion of the apprenticeship programme.

Training to be delivered

Information Communications Technician (IT Support) Apprenticeship Level 3
Functional skills in Maths and English Level 2 if required
