The Commis Chef Level 2 apprenticeship provides a great training opportunity for junior team members working within kitchens that prepare food from fresh produce. They will learn how to carry out basic functions in every section of the kitchen, providing the experience to consider and value each section.

  • Is your role in a kitchen environment?
  • Required to prepare food from fresh produce using a variety of knives?
  • Required to set up and close the kitchen when required?
  • Required to complete relevant kitchen documentation?
  • Required to maintain food safety and store ingredients in your role?
  • Required to prepare and cook the following food from scratch - seafood, meat, poultry, vegetables, sauces, soup, bread, pastries, cakes and hot and cold desserts?
