You'll gain insight into the diverse range of settings where care is provided (like care homes, hospitals, GP practices, community teams, and individuals' homes) and the various roles within them. You'll also learn about the principles of delivering high-quality, compassionate care and support.
Person-centred care and support
Understand and respond to the diverse needs of individuals, including their physical, emotional, social, and developmental requirements. You'll learn how to effectively support individuals with their daily activities and personal care, always prioritising their personal goals and independence.
Safety, communication, and professionalism
You'll develop essential skills in maintaining a safe and clean environment, including vital safeguarding practices.
