Boosting skillsets across the NHS is vital for creating new career pathways, improving patient care, and ultimately, laying strong foundations for a future-proofed workforce strategy. It’s the reason over 50 NHS Trusts have chosen Lifetime as their external training provider for over a decade. And together, we're leading the way in reshaping NHS skills training.
Through building strategic training partnerships, more people can learn, earn and achieve nationally-recognised qualifications used to carve out successful careers in the Health Sector. And by introducing NHS apprenticeships to a wider spectrum of people, we’re helping a diverse workforce go even further.
In just five years, Lifetime has successfully delivered over 1,500 entry-level apprenticeship programmes and recruited nearly 1,000 candidates into NHS apprenticeship roles. Together, we’re exceeding Public Sector targets and empowering an evolving workforce, equipping it with the skills and knowledge that are essential for the future of careers in the NHS.
Since 2011, we’ve got to know both clinical and non-clinical NHS Trusts inside-out, working collaboratively to uncover each organisation’s distinct challenges. We’ve developed and delivered Business Administration and Customer Service programmes to bridge skills gaps across multiple roles, as well as deliver essential clinical apprenticeships.
By collaborating with NHS Trusts to transform how learning works, Lifetime has reshaped skills training in 130 NHS settings, so far.
We’re committed to recruiting, supporting and developing a pipeline of talent to meet the future needs of the NHS.
To do this, we've created an enhanced package of support, services and advice available for our partners, maximising the impact of apprenticeships for Trusts and their teams.
NHS Partners Programme
Having developed life-changing skills through Lifetime’s programmes, NHS Trusts all over the UK continue to develop career pathways that create empowered, future-ready workforce.
Our programmesWe have supported staff to complete Level 3 and Level 5 apprenticeships which have subsequently provided the learner with the entry criteria to go on to complete a full nursing degree. This has helped us develop workforce plans to meet the challenges of our skills shortages.
