Gentle Hugs are on the lookout for an enthusiastic new apprentice to join their growing in-house nursery! The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the day to day running of the nursery, helping to foster the growth of every child under our care whilst working towards their Early Years Educator Level 3 apprenticeship qualification.

Gentle Hugs are on the lookout for a new Early Years Apprentice to join our growing nursery based in Bromley!

Our focus is building caring, confident children in a nurturing environment. We love to explore through play, and definitely don't shy away from getting a little messy with different fun, educational activities designed to develop growing minds. The ideal candidate will be someone who has a genuine passion for the care and development of children, can collaborate with other carers to innovate new ideas, and isn't afraid to get stuck in and have some fun!

Whilst previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial, we welcome applications from all backgrounds and levels of experience. Full training and DBS will be provided to become a registered childcare provider with a £1,200 grant provided upon completion of registration.
General nursery opening hours are 7am-7pm with shifts to be worked anywhere between these hours. However, please be aware that we offer 24/7 care so you may be asked to work outside these hours on occasion.

What will you be doing?

Responsible for the opening/closing of the nursery, ensuring everything is safe and clean, ready for the day.
Working as part of a team to plan, monitor, and evaluate activities for children 0-12 years.
Ensuring the safeguarding and welfare of the children at all times.
Building positive relationships with children, families, colleagues, and other professionals.
To support with the daily routines of the nursery including preparing meals and monitoring play.
Working towards the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework.

What are the benefits?

Attractive wage of up to £15 p/h depending on the amount of children under your care at a time.
Commission scheme of 10% of a child's monthly fees for anyone who signs up after a viewing arranged by you.
We do lots of fun trips out to museums, theme parks, aquariums, zoos etc. and we love to spend as much time outside as possible.
All holiday requests accepted - holiday pay is accrued on 12.07% of hours worked and as much can be taken as you like.
Up to 30% discount across high street retail stores once signed onto the apprenticeship.

What's involved as part of the apprenticeship?

You will be assigned an expert Lifetime Training coach to support you throughout your apprenticeship journey, with regular face to face and virtual catch ups every 4-6 weeks.
You will work towards your Early Years Educator Level 3 apprenticeship qualification over the course of 12-18 months.
A hands-on approach to learning and structured training plan delivered at your place of work without the expectation to attend college.
Dedicated time each week to focus on your learning.
