Key responsibilities and accountabilities as a Hardware Build / Deployment Engineer will include;
● Imaging Desktop Computers
● Imaging Laptop Computers
● Installing Operating Systems on Servers
● Installing upgrade parts
● Asset Tagging and recording/scanning device details
● Enrolling mobile devices into mobile device management
● Troubleshooting laptop / desktop faults
● Intune pre-provisioning
● Verifying, documenting, and chasing information relating to tickets
● Receive, unpack, and inventory IT equipment from vendors or suppliers.
● Assemble, configure, asset tag and test IT equipment according to specifications and standards.
● Label, document, and organize IT equipment in the configuration centre.
● Prepare and pack IT equipment for shipment or delivery to various locations.
● Install, connect, and troubleshoot IT equipment at the designated locations.
● Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on IT equipment.
● Update and maintain records of IT equipment inventory, status, and location.
● Follow safety and security procedures and policies in the configuration centre.
● Report any issues, problems, or incidents related to the IT equipment or the configuration centre.
Desired Skills
Some experience working with hardware would be an advantage. This could be building custom PCs for friends and family as a for instance.

Qualifications required
To be considered for this role, you must have a C/4 grade in both GCSE Maths & English, and in three or four other subjects at least. You should have a GCSE, BTEC or A Level in ICT or at least hands-on experience with the workings of computers and IT.
