The Black Lion are looking for a motivated and passionate individual to join their team as an Apprentice Chef de Partie. If you are looking to take the next step within your Hospitality career into a more senior position, then this is the opportunity for you!

We make almost everything from scratch, so this is a role for an Apprentice Chef de Partie who has experience working with fresh ingredients and a love for preparing quality dishes who is looking to take the next step in their career.

As an Apprentice Chef De Partie, you will:

*Execute cooking tasks with precision and finesse, adhering to the pub's standard recipes and guidelines to deliver consistently exceptional dishes.
*Mentor and guide junior culinary team members, providing support and knowledge-sharing to foster growth and maintain a cohesive working environment.
*Maintain in line with food safety and sanitation standards, adhering to heath and safety protocols at all times promoting a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
*Take part in training sessions and workshops to enhance culinary skills and stay updated with the latest industry trends and techniques.

What you’ll bring to the kitchen:

*Proven experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic kitchen environment.
*In depth knowledge of the standards of baking, cooking and grilling techniques with the ability to quickly learn new recipes and cooking procedures.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, able to work within a diverse team and communicate with guests.
*Awareness of manual handling techniques, control of substances hazardous to health Regulations (COSHH), and chemical safety.

At the Black Lion, you'll be working towards your Senior Production Chef Level 3 Apprenticeship qualification over the course of 12-18 months.

Qualifications required

No previous qualifications required but must have previous experience within a kitchen environment.
