As an Early Years Practitioner Apprentice, at Tysoe, you will be working towards the Early Years Educator Level 3 Apprenticeship over the duration of 15-18 months, alongside your daily roles and responsibilities.
Your daily roles and responsibilities will include;
- To be a proactive member of a staff team who provide a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment in which young children are supported and encouraged to achieve their full potential.
- To ensure that communication with children, parents and the staff team is polite and courteous at all times.
- To ensure that clean and hygienic standards are maintained at all times. This includes daily cleaning logs; nappy changing, risk assessments and other nursery/ housekeeping duties.
- To ensure the nursery on arrival and on leave at the end of the day is neat, tidy and presentable.
- To offer full and practical support in the day to day running of the nursery.
- To be able to show willingness to go that extra mile for the well-being of the nursery.
- To maintain confidentially about all issues related to children and their families; your own other staff members issues and any other management or operational issues
What your apprenticeship includes;
- A mixture of face to face and skype/phone catch ups every 4 - 6 weeks
- A mixture of on and off the job training, including workshops and webinars
- Reviews every 12 weeks with the Apprentice, Line Manager and Lifetime Trainer
- Feedback sessions to discuss progress
- Obtain Functional Skills in English and Maths (if you don’t already have GCSE)

Desired Skills
Good communicator. An understanding of basic Microsoft packages and an understanding of Apple software (iPads are used within the rooms). An understanding of good hygiene and health and safety standards.
Personal qualities
You must love working and being with children, it can get very loud.
You should also be friendly, enthusiastic, reliable, good team member, have "a be prepared to have a go" attitude and encourage children to do the same, be a good role model, a good listener and enjoy working as part of a team.

There will be opportunities for further training in Forest School, Special Educational Needs as well as CPD opportunities in a wide range of early years related courses depending on your own particular interests.
