Coach Core’s vision is to drive social mobility through apprenticeships and sport, so that every young person can reach their true potential and inspire those around them. Since our launch in 2012, we have worked with over 150 of the biggest sports providers, youth clubs and charities in the country, supporting over 500 young people.
The Community Activator Coach role is the perfect opportunity to understand the role of sport and physical activity in the Community, and as an apprentice coach at UK HADO you will:
● Assist with preparing the venue for sessions and ensuring it is kept in good order Lead and Coach HADO sessions for Schools and assist with running Schools Tournaments and PE sessions.
● Lead and Coach HADO Academy Sessions and assist with team training sessions
● Lead and oversee private bookings, parties group hires and assist with other Corporate and private events.
● Be responsible for basic admin tasks and Front of house duties such as welcoming clients to the venue.
● Assist with arranging, preparing and running tournaments.
● Work closely with other team members, including the Lead Coach and the Tournament Manager to ensure the smooth running of The Arena and HADO activities.
What your apprenticeship includes:
● A mixture of face to face and online catch ups every 4 - 6 weeks to discuss feedback and progress
● A mixture of on and off the job training, including workshops and webinars
● Reviews every 12 weeks with your Line Manager and apprenticeship Trainer
● The chance to get Functional Skills in English and maths (if you don’t already have GCSE)

As an apprentice with UK HADO you will be studying towards a 15-month qualification that will be the Community Coach Activator Level 2 Apprenticeship
Desired Skills
Good communication skills are essential as is an interest in sport and technology. A willingness and desire to assist in the creating and development of social and community groups with an interest in / connection to HADO.
Personal qualities
We are looking for team members who are Friendly, Outgoing and willing to work as part of a team.
Punctuality, time management, attention to detail and a willingness to learn new skills is essential as well as having the ability to work independently with support from a team leader.
Qualifications required
Missed out on getting your Maths and English GCSE’s? Don’t worry- you can still apply but you will need to complete Functional Skills Level 2 before you finish the apprenticeship. Our Learning Coaches can support you with this so don’t let this put you off!
