Lifetime Training Careers Development Strategy captures our ambition and commitment to providing the very best experience that equips learners to make informed decisions throughout their careers. We believe that
everyone should have the chance to acquire knowledge, skills, and behaviours so they can prosper and fulfil their potential with their chosen career path.
Our commitment to opening access to skills acquisition and creating a democracy of opportunity is reflected in our high-quality Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG).
We work collaboratively with our employer partners to advise and guide each learner through their chosen career path. The engagement with the evolving labour market keeps the information current and aligned to
the industry standards and expectations.
High quality CEIAG is fundamental to the success and sustained employment choices for our learners and ensures they understand the range of opportunities available to them in today’s economy.
Lifetime's career provision is influenced by the eight Gatsby Benchmarks with the development of employability skills tailored to the programme of study and career pathway. We are a Matrix accredited training provider, ensuring high quality information, advice, and guidance.
Lifetime provides several opportunities for learners to engage with CEIAG throughout the duration of their programme. Learners are encouraged to discuss their career plans from the outset, through group and individual sessions with our Engagement and Partnership teams, to the conversations with our Course Advisors and Recruitment Coordinators.
Learner Coaches ensure an individualised and tailored careers approach based upon initial assessment scores, skills radar reviews, and career discussions.
Excellent CEIAG should compliment all apprenticeship programmes and ensure learners are equipped to build a rewarding career. Therefore, completion of the programme, progression onto further study or training, or progression within their current or future employment is our ambition for all learners and the ultimate success measure.

We have a strategic Careers Leader – George Dee, who drives the careers programme in consultation and collaboration with the Senior Leadership team.

High quality CEIAG resources are available on the dedicated Careers section on the Lifetime website. LMI information from sources such as ‘careerometer’ are also included. Regular interaction with our Employer Partners ensures relevant industry updates are updated via the CEIAG resources.
Learners’ complete careers discussions within the first appointment with their Coach to ensure the plan is tailored to the specific requirements.
Links are made to industry during delivery of the curriculum including knowledge, skills and behaviours required for employment and future proofing employability.
