Lifetime’s Careers Development Strategy

Everyone deserves to learn the life-changing skills they need to realise their full potential and achieve their career ambitions. This strategy shows how we support our learners during their apprenticeship programme.

Lifetime Training Careers Development Strategy captures our ambition and commitment to providing the very best experience that equips learners to make informed decisions throughout their careers. We believe that
everyone should have the chance to acquire knowledge, skills, and behaviours so they can prosper and fulfil their potential with their chosen career path.

Our commitment to opening access to skills acquisition and creating a democracy of opportunity is reflected in our high-quality Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG).

We work collaboratively with our employer partners to advise and guide each learner through their chosen career path. The engagement with the evolving labour market keeps the information current and aligned to
the industry standards and expectations.

High quality CEIAG is fundamental to the success and sustained employment choices for our learners and ensures they understand the range of opportunities available to them in today’s economy.

Lifetime's career provision is influenced by the eight Gatsby Benchmarks with the development of employability skills tailored to the programme of study and career pathway. We are a Matrix accredited training provider, ensuring high quality information, advice, and guidance.

Implementation

Lifetime provides several opportunities for learners to engage with CEIAG throughout the duration of their programme. Learners are encouraged to discuss their career plans from the outset, through group and individual sessions with our Engagement and Partnership teams, to the conversations with our Course Advisors and Recruitment Coordinators.

Learner Coaches ensure an individualised and tailored careers approach based upon initial assessment scores, skills radar reviews, and career discussions.
