Level 2 apprenticeship

 


The role of the Early Years Practitioner is to work and interact directly with children on a day-to-day basis supporting the planning and delivery of activities. The apprenticeship provides great training for team members in a full day care, children’s centre or pre-school setting.

If you meet most of these responsibilities as part of your existing role, or if you could be supported to meet these responsibilities during your apprenticeship, you could be suitable for this programme.

 

  • Have the opportunity to work regularly with children (0-5 yrs) E.g you work in an early years setting?
  • Work with Early Years Foundation Stage E.g. are you involved in providing play and educational opportunities, which are either adult-led or child-initiated?
  • Have the opportunity to work alongside parents and/or carers and encourage them to take an active role in their child’s care, play, learning and development?
  • Have the opportunity to support colleagues with the assessment, planning, implementation and reviewing for young children?
