Lifetime was created as a training and consultancy business in 1995 by truly inspirational founder, Heather Frankham. Lifetime quickly developed strong partnerships with both large and small employers, soon establishing itself as the leading training provider in the Active Leisure sector.
In 2001, Lifetime began delivering apprenticeships. It has since expanded its delivery of intermediate, advanced, and higher apprenticeships across a range of sectors, in the Civil Service, NHS, Hospitality, Retail, Warehouse and Logistics, Health and Social Care, Clinical Health, Active Leisure, Early Years, HR and Learning and Development, Data and Project Management, Leadership and Coaching.
Lifetime benefited from investment through Sovereign Capital in 2011. Alex Khan was appointed as CEO to lead the next phase of Lifetime's diversification and growth journey. Since then, Lifetime has won several major partners to secure a dominant position in the provision of apprenticeships.
In 2016, Silverfleet Capital became Lifetime’s new investment partner to continue building on its reputation for quality and professionalism as a market leader. In 2023, David Smith took over as CEO. With a remarkable track record across multiple blue chip business service sectors, David brings a wealth of expertise and a passion for transforming companies, building long-lasting customer relationships, and building colleague engagement all with an eye on sustainability and social value.
With more than 25 years of award-winning skills training behind it, Lifetime decided to reaffirm its commitment to improving access to industry-leading apprenticeships, for everyone. In recent years, Lifetime has brought a refreshed look and feel, aligning with its commitment to empowering more people and businesses through its life-changing apprenticeships.
