We know that our people are our greatest asset and supporting the wellbeing of our people is essential to creating a healthy and open culture. We have several initiatives to ensure that support is accessible across a number of platforms to suit the needs of all individuals.

  • Employee Assistance Programme and helpline

    Our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) is offered as part of our strategy to continue to make Lifetime a great place to work. The EAP provides you and your family with information, advice and counselling covering a variety of personal, family or workplace issues.
  • Wellness Hub

    Through our Perkbox platform you get the chance to learn from wellbeing experts. The hub offers a range of meditation, yoga, Pilates, workouts among other things. Additionally you get access to discounts on a variety or wellbeing support.
  • Flexible working

    All Lifetime employees, can request a change to their terms and conditions of employment to work flexibly to support their wellbeing and personal commitments.
  • Blended ways of working

    Blended Ways of Working builds on the benefits flexible working offers, and combines remote, office and site working, as well as flexibility in when, and for how long, you engage in your work-related tasks. It is focused on promoting work flexibility to support work-life balance.

    Our Wellbeing Champions support the welfare and wellbeing of their peers in relation to work and personal concerns, providing guidance for both internal and external support avenues.

  • Holidays

    You're entitled to 25 days' statutory holiday (pro-rata for part-time) and eight public holidays per calendar year. We also add one extra day of annual leave to your allocation at each five-year milestone.
  • Additional annual leave option

    You can buy up to five additional days of annual leave per holiday year to support your wellbeing and work/life balance.
  • Your birthday off

    To help you celebrate your special day we give you one day to take as you wish around the month of your birthday.
  • Early finish Fridays

    We all finish at 4pm on a Friday wherever possible, to make our weekends just that little bit longer.
  • Christmas closedown

    We close between Christmas and the New Year to give everyone the chance to have some well-deserved rest and relaxation over the festive period.
  • Pension scheme

    Our excellent auto-enrolment, salary sacrifice pension scheme allows you to contribute as much as you’d like from your salary, and we’ll match that up to 5% to help secure your financial future.

    To support your work/life balance we give you the opportunity of flexibility within our core working hours.
  • Enhanced maternity/shared parental and adoption leave

    For eligible team members we offer 12 weeks of leave at full pay followed by 12 weeks half pay before moving onto statutory entitlements.
  • Paid phased return support

    Following maternity, shared parental, adoption leave we offer a phased return on full pay/ reduced hours to ease your return to work whilst you and your new family adjust to your new world of balancing childcare, family life and work.
  • Enhanced paternity pay

    For eligible team members we offer two weeks full pay for team members on paternity leave.
  • Recognition programme and framework

    A reward programme where team members are recognised by their managers and celebrated for their achievements on a quarterly basis.
  • Annual celebration event

    An annual celebration Group event where awards, nominated by our people for our people, will be up for grabs. The event will also be our chance for all team members from across the Group to connect, reflect, celebrate long-service and outstanding achievements together.

We express our dedication to fostering an inclusive workplace on all of our adverts to help encourage applications from all backgrounds.
Applicant Feedback Survey
We seek out feedback from applicants, in order that we can from their thoughts and experiences during our recruitment process. This helps inform our future actions for improvement.
EDI Information Survey
We ask applicants to confidentially and voluntarily share their personal demographic data with us. This is not shared with hiring managers but is instead used centrally to monitor trends and understand where our opportunities lie around broadening the diversity of our new hires at each stage of the hiring journey.
EDI Job Boards
We use specialized EDI job boards to increase awareness of Lifetime Group and attract applicants from more diverse demographics .
Streamlined Selection Process
We’ve removed certain assessment requirements from the selection process to make our hiring more accessible to a broader range of candidates. 
Anonymizing Application Data
To help reduce unconscious bias during the screening stage, we have removed all personal details from applications. While we are not yet able to anonymize CVs ourselves, we encourage candidates to take the initiative to anonymize their CVs before submission.
EDI Training for Hiring Managers
Provide comprehensive EDI training to all hiring managers to ensure inclusive and unbiased recruitment decisions. 
Job Descriptions and Adverts
Eliminate any unconscious bias from our job descriptions and adverts to encourage applications from a diverse range of applicants. 
Diversity Panels
Introduce diversity panels in our selection and interview process to ensure fair and balanced perspectives during candidate evaluation. 
Diversity Platforms
Expand our reach by partnering with additional diversity-focused job boards and platforms to increase awareness of our business to a broader, more diverse range of candidates.

We are proud to have achieved our Disability Confident Commitment accreditation.
Annual gender pay gap report
Approx 60% of our workforce are female. We openly report on our Gender Pay Report annually and ensure the actions and findings feed into our EDI strategy.
Menopause Mates Community
Our life changing people have set up a ‘Menopause Mates’ community, full of useful resources and support that we can all tap into, whether we are embarking on the menopause ourselves or want to find out more to support our team, peers or family at a life changing moment.
Supporting social mobility
As an apprentice provider we are proud to support social mobility for our learners and we also recruit our own apprentices to help them achieve their career and qualification goals.
Supporting Mental Health
Our benefits and policies are focussed on supporting mental health and wellbeing for our employees and our learners, this includes; wellbeing initiatives and programmes, Wellbeing Champions, access to an Employee Assistance Programme, free counselling and flexible working polices.
