Quality Assured Care: the approved standard for social care training providers

Skills for Care has launched an accreditation service, Quality Assured Care.

This accreditation is designed to certify the quality and relevance of training programmes offered by various training providers. Here's a closer look at what the Quality Assured Care service entails and its significance for the social care sector.

What is Quality Assured Care?

Quality Assured Care is a badge or accreditation that training providers can apply for to demonstrate that their training programmes meet high standards of quality and relevance. This service is part of a broader initiative by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) to ensure that the social care workforce receives top-notch training and development opportunities.

Lifetime are a Quality Assured Care training provider for our Adult Social Care Certificate Level 2 qualification and Diploma in Adult Care Level 3 qualification. The Quality Assured Care accreditation is not available for apprenticeship programmes.

Why is it important?

The introduction of Quality Assured Care is a significant step towards enhancing the skills and competencies of the social care workforce. High quality training is crucial for improving the standard of care provided to individuals who rely on social care services. By achieving this accreditation, training providers like Lifetime can assure employers and learners that their programmes are of excellent quality and meet the specific needs of the sector.

Lifetime are already accredited!

Lifetime is proud to be accredited under the Quality Assured Care service. This accreditation underscores our commitment to providing high-quality and relevant training programmes that meet the needs of the social care sector. Our courses are designed to prepare learners with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their roles and provide exceptional care.

The future of the Quality Assured Care accreditation

The launch of the Quality Assured Care accreditation service marks a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to professionalise and support the social care workforce. By ensuring that training programmes are of high quality and relevant to the needs of the sector, this initiative will help improve the overall standard of care and support provided to individuals across the country.

Soon, obtaining the Quality Assured Care accreditation will become a requirement for training providers who wish to offer courses eligible for funding through the Learning & Development Support Scheme.

This means that employers will only be able to claim back funding for training programmes that have been accredited, ensuring that the investment in training leads to meaningful and effective outcomes.
